Njavarakizhi is a nourishing form of Kizhi therapy. The rice preparation, temperature, technique and duration are selected according to the individual’s strength, skin sensitivity and treatment goals.

How Is Njavarakizhi Performed?

Medicated rice is cooked with prescribed herbal preparations and tied into cloth boluses. The warm boluses are dipped in the prepared liquid and gently applied over the body using coordinated movements.

The temperature is monitored carefully throughout the therapy.
